I'm having a real issue with retroarch as recently it doesn't seem to save any configuration settings. I can't save keymap settings, or hot keys. Even things like save on exit etc. I save it to configurations but nothing ever seems to save. I don't want to mess around with stuff too much as you change one thing and a rabbit hole appears and it ends up mucking something else totally unrelated.

I am currently on Retroarch 1.19.0. I also seem to never be able to upgrade it as I keep getting "git pull --ff-only' returned 1

@stephenuk Is there not a controller config file I can just delete to reset it all this is an absolute nightmare. It all started by just trying to configure controls for Doom but it wouldn't save Modern Joypad setting in Retroarch.

Luckily I got another memory card with version 1.9.7 which worked perfectly 1.19.0 utterly sucks and has so many bugs and issues. I think I'll stick with the older version and never upgrade retroarc again. if it ain't broken don't fix it.
