No sound on Raspberry Pi 5
-
Hey, I installed RetroPie on my Raspberry Pi 5 as described in the forum. Everything's working fine, but I have no sound. If I set the volume to 100% in the settings, for example, it resets every time. I've tried a lot of things, but unfortunately, to no avail.

Did you went through the Sound menu (in the RetroPie system) to configure your audio output ? If not, then try setting it first.

I tried it but it didn't work. After googling for a long time I found out that I had to install emulationstation-dev and now it works.

@RealDave98 hey Dave can you please explain more by what you mean by the -dev version? And how to do it?

@RealDave98 I have a raspberry pi 500. I have no sound and all of my emulators are sped up. I have installed dev version of emulationstation. I have read that the sped up emulator is a side effect of no sound.
I'm at a loss
I have edited es_config.txt and added my soundcard name and chose HDMI. Any help is appreciated.
