      Hello Everyone,

Let me start out by saying I really love RetroPie. I have it installed on a Raspberry Pi2 and It allows me to get my retro fix and also have KODI installed all with a clean interface. My experience with RetroPie while tethered (wired keyboard and ethernet) has been great. However when I started to add Bluetooth and wifi into the mix things weren't good.

I tried Bluetooth first as I wanted to connect my WiiU pro controller and play some of my old favorites. It went decently well at first the controller connected right away and I was soon enjoying my old classics. The problems first started while playing Super Mario World the controller just stopped working. I restarted the pi and the controller wouldn't connect anymore so I went through the setup process again with varying degrees of success.

I moved on to wifi next and while sometimes I could it to see available networks I was only able to connect a few times but it wasn't stable enough to use. It would keep disconnecting or not find any available networks. I don't think this is a signal strength problem as the router is about 10 feet away with an almost clear line of sight. I tried every manner of trying to set up the wifi from console to wicd-curses with no luck.

I originally had all these problems on I think 3.7.2 and after messing around trying to get these to work for 5 days I decided to try a fresh install just in case it was something I changed in the process that was causing all these problems. Now I'm on 4.0.0 and I can't get Bluetooth to connect at all and wifi is able to find the networks but won't connect.

During my searches for a solution, i came across a mention that the onboard USB ports can't really handle wifi dongles let alone an additional Bluetooth adapter and a wired keyboard. So I tried a powered USB hub to see if that would remedy my situation but no difference.

So that brings me to here in hopes that one of you know a solution to my problems so I can enjoy my retro games and watch my media in KODI.

If I missed anything you need let me know and ill be happy to provide it for you.

      Thank You in advance, Nightwish
