      Hi,

      just an idea from me.....
I´m searching for an solution to get my retropie on the go.
I´m travelling a lot and don´t want to carry all this stuff around from hotel to hotel.
All i have with me is a business notebook from my company....
I don´t want to mess around with it (installing the emulators etc) for gaming.

Is it possible to get Retropie (or anything like it) running from a USB Stick,
which i plug into my computer?
This would be easier, because i can use the keyboard and mouse of my laptop. :-)

Shall i install Ubuntu on a stick and Retropie standalone afterwards?
Or is there a special Retropie-like Distro for normal Intel Notebooks?

      I found this one here...
Would it be basicly the same as RetroPie?

Or do you have any other idea?

I would prefer a solution as near as possible to my retropie, so i can try things, which i want to do at home too.

        @HPK-de

        Relevant github repository:

        https://github.com/HerbFargus/Portable-Game-Station

Still a WIP though. Windows only.

But yes you could also probably use a live USB with ubuntu which might be a better option as its more contained and will actually be RetroPie

This works perfect, have it installed on a 16GB usb thumb drive and even have roms installed on it and it works perfect for plug and play. the only thing is the Playstation, psp emulators dont work to well yet for this version but every thing else works perfect, herb_fargus is the best, make sure to check his other videos on youtube also. helped me out a lot when i was getting started with Retropie on the Raspberry Pi
