Weird font issue

Hello,
Recently I noticed that some characters in ES started to be displayed incorrectly as black squares. Looking online i found that this problem can be corrected changing the memory split, increasing the GPU memory from 256 to 512. This in fact solves the problem, but I am wondering what caused the change in the fonts in the first place. -
The lack of free GPU memory caused it. So either keep your split higher as you have done, or use a lighter theme like Carbon.
