Sound and Xbox360 controller not working
-
controller
Pi Model: RASPBERRY PI 2, MODEL B
RetroPie Version Used: latest version
Built From: I formatted, programmed, and installed all on my own
USB Devices connected: USB to XBOX 360 controller, Keyboard (sk-8175), and Wifi receiver (which doesn't seem to working either, I can't connect wirelessly)
Controller used: XBOX 360 controller
Error messages received: none
Guide used: I followed this guide https://howchoo.com/g/n2qyzdk5zdm/build-your-own-raspberry-pi-retro-gaming-rig
and this guide https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Setting-up-the-XBox360-controller
I have read the forums nothing stands out as pertaining to my problem.
Attachment of config files: (PLEASE USE PASTEBIN.COM FOR LARGE LOGS)
How to replicate the problem: I have no clue.I installed everything that it says from the first guide on how to set it up. I installed ROMS and and can run them and play them with my keyboard but there is no sound. I attached my 360-controller via its USB cable to the top left port on the PI. It boots, the light on the controller comes on, the retroPi "Configure Input" shows 2 gamepads detected, but when I hold a button it does nothing and the controller is never configured. How do I go about fixing these problems?
I also ran the .... and it still doesn't work.
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade -
@goryblasphemy how are you testing sound? You can try editing the /boot/config.txt by typing:
sudo nano /boot/config.txt
And look for the line that says:
#hdmi_drive=2
And change it to:
hdmi_drive=2
Then press "ctrl" + "x" to exit and "y" to save. Then reboot with
Sudo reboot
