I cannot use keyboard or controller.
When I access my Pi using SSH and open the control menu I do not have the option to change controller within "the blue menu". It should be menu 807 yet it doesn't appear. I updated to the latest version - yet no cigar.

I tried two different keyboards and my XBOX 360 wired controller.

Not so sure what you mean: When you start Retropie the first time you should see the input configuration which will let you configure input devices by pressing a button. Did you try that and it didn't work?

@vbs Sadly it doesn't. I tried that with other images - the one I got hands on this time around doesn't.

I did install the XBOX controller via the menu. The odd thing is that even keyboard doesn't work. The same two keyboards I use with other images.

I found a way to reset controller settings finally and now I can setup my controller from scratch :D
