Final Burn Alpha 0.2.97.39 is out!

@juice
Mame-2010 is the only emulator that'll run most of them with good sound. I use that with Altered Beast, Dynamite Dux, E-Swat, Golden Axe and Shinobi. Moonwalker runs way too slow on my PI2 so I have to use the old lr-mame4all for that one. -
For those ho want to have more control over there rom collection

@Rion I don't want to look lazy but is there a chance to release an "arcade only, no clones" dat file? :-)
-
@Darksavior thanks alot mate i check that out now
-
that would be great , but make sure you include these clones
https://github.com/superjamie/lazyweb/wiki/MAME-Clones-Worth-Playing
can you also take out majong games
thanks
-
@meleu I'm sorry but this is beyond my knowledge.
These dat files where generated from the Windows version of Final Burn Alpha 0.2.97.39.
I have tried romlister and so forth but cant for the love of @£$€€{{{ figure out how to use is.
Maybe you can ask @Floob cause he seems to know what he is doing :)
-
@meleu I think i found something worthwhile..
lightspeed-ultra-fast-mame-importer-tool
Edit:
@Floob what do you think?
-
@Rion so you would use the retropie_setup script to update the code?
-
@retropiepghguy the binary was already updated too, as said above.
https://retropie.org.uk/forum/post/30685 -

It seams the where some problem with the input mapping in the latest release
Issues
Rework mappings in fbalpha ?Commits on Oct 24, 2016 New input handling (final version ?)
But there seams to be some discussion about it. So no final version yet.
-
I think the new input mapping is now final from what i can see on libretro.
new input handling in fbalpha-libretro
"the new code is easier to maintain and should solve present and future issues with bad/missing inputs"
There is also a fix for segfault while running actfancr (and clones).
Maybe new binaries should be in order?
-
They were rebuilt yesterday.
-
-
@BuZz said in Final Burn Alpha 0.2.97.39 is out!:
They were rebuilt yesterday.
actfancer still segfaults, the commit was a day ago, so probably just missed that fix.
-
Well, i'm working a lot on fbalpha-libretro these days, expect lots of bugs and bugfixes (i finally got working analog controls this morning, i still need to rewrite some code before pushing it, probably within a day)

@Twitch0815 Rtype & Rtype 2 crash back to ES with 0.2.97.39 :( (
Rtype works in level 1, from level 2 on crashes. Rtype 2 crashes from level 1 on after some playing..
Tested with CLRMAMEPRO confirmed Roms. LR-FBalpha 2012 runs fluidly, but core does not support savegames :(
Any ideas? I´m on RP4.1
