      @BuZz Yes, I'm using lr-fbalpha 0.2.97.39 DAT file.

        @paulo_sor See @Lyle_JP response. I had the same problem due to having an older romset which lacked the .key files. Now I have a .39 set all is fine.

          @Lyle_JP I will check about the .key, but anyway the roms must worked with mame2003 (using mame2003 dat file to verify), don't you think?

            mame2003 needs a completely different romset - 0.78

              just loaded sf2.zip (a CPS2 game) on the latest lr-mame2003 and it works fine for me. your roms must be wrong, or you're using clones without the parent present.

                  no need to mess with dat files, just make sure you obtain the right romset for the emulator you want to use.

                      @dankcushions any hint about where i can find them? i was using the ones found in [Redacted] but seems that aren't the right ones

                        [Redacted]uses the 0.164 romset for all of their MAME files, so don't use them (none of the pi emulators use that romset, AFAIK). Giving out links to roms is a strict no-no on this board (for obvious reasons). My best advice is to learn to torrent. That's how I've acquired my MAME and FBA romsets.
