      Hello,

I set up a retro pie installation a couple of days ago. I was using a steam controller with the xbox mappings and it was working fine.

The steam controller worked fine but I wanted something more 'classic' so I bougth a couple of 'SNES' usb gamepads from amazon (manufactured by CSL, reviews claimed they worked fine with retropie), but the moment I connect them to the pi and try to configure it, I am switched to the console instead of the GUI. If the gamepad is connected when I boot it, it just shows the console.

Any ideas of what the issue might be?

@santiagozky It seems the issue is not with the USB controllers but with the steam controller. Problems only appear if I unplug the controller's dongle from the PI. I disabled the driver from the setup script and everything is fine now.
