No Emulators showing up

I am new to retropie and having problems getting any emulators to show up even after putting roms over, here is some of the steps i have done.
installed the snes emulator from manage optional packages
Put 2 roms in snes folder on usb drive with ex smc
plug usb back into the pie and let sit for awhile
restart the pie.I get no emulators at all, the only thing i see is the Retropie opening and hit 'A' which takes me into the Emulation Station

@Jhobgood are the roms on the thumb drive in /RetroPie/roms/snes/ ?
