      Hey Everyone!

I'm looking to install retropie on a raspberry pi zero but I'm having problems. The problem is that it won't boot ... at all, completely black screen.

      Details:

      Raspberry Pi Zero
      Powered by 5v
Hooked up to a working screen using mini hdmi > hdmi
16 GB Ultra Sd card formated to FAT, using ApplePi-Baker, mounted the retropie .img with that as well.
Latest retropie os downloaded from the website

The kicker, I've tried using the same details but to install noobs ... works like a charm.

I have tried two different SD cards, followed the guides, a couple of times. Still no boot, not even a blip on the screen, the raspberry pi indication light blink a couple of times on startup then goes solid green.

      What to do?

@martinnoren Have you downloaded the correct image for the pi zero?

@martinnoren I just had boot problems with my sd card. It is a 8gb, it would boot NOOBS and raspian but not retropie. I found a 32gb sd and now the retropie image boots just fine. This was on a rpi 1b it's an older model. I know you said your SD was a 16gb but I thought this information might help.
