      Hi guys,

      Pi Model B
      Retropie 4.01
      Controller - minipac / Keyboard

I'm have no luck mapping my own buttons within FBA, each time I modify /opt/retropie/configs/fba/retroarch.cfg and run the emulator it keeps updating this file and putting the buttons back to a certain default! E is slow motion which I also used with my controller setup.

It's strange because some of the controls I modified in this file do not get changed but most of the buttons (A|B|X|Y|L|R) do.

Hope someone can aid me in the frustrating time.

      Cheers!

        EDIT: I'm assuming you're using lr-fbalpha (aka lr-fba-next).

my suggestion: undo the changes you've made on that file and then configure the mappings the way you like using the core input remapping method.
