@Finhead yeah, no results on the ES Scraper for any system after about 5 min of being frozen. Sselph's Scraper, I go to "scrape chosen systems" select Amiga, (or any system) and it fails to scrape. I just need people to test if box art is the right dimensions.

I can try it out for you no problem, if you want to go through it and send me a download link you can Send me a message on my Facebook page since I don;t think this board has a PM option.

@Finhead Here you go, The Daphne material theme. You will have to replace the Daphne folder in the simple theme, for this theme is based off of that.

I installed this to try out but I can't seem to get Daphne to use images. I think it's a issue with the emulator not the theme though.

Should i upload my Simple.xml?
-
The whole theme will be done tonight. And uploaded on my dropbox if anyone wants the zip file

I don't think that would fix the issue with Daphne if that is what you mean. I "think" Daphne rewrites the gamelist.xml file every reboot. At least that seems to be the case for me, everytime I change the file to point to artwork it reverts back to the original xml when I reboot for the changes to take effect.

Would I edit this post for the release of the theme, or would I make a new topic?
-
@lilbud feel free to edit the post with your release. Also feel free to update your github repository with the completed theme as I'd like to test it
-
@lilbud a few thoughts, I have maybe 20-30+ systems on my testing build and a new thing is happening: black screen of death! ha ha but its essentially the same issue as the whitescreen, so I'm wondering if there are ways of simplifying it like we do with carbon to not eat up the RAM as much.
You can look at what rookervik does with the carbon theme background with a tiled png rather than a full image for the background- not sure how much of a difference that would make, but may possibly alleviate it somewhat.
You may also want to reference the systems off the carbon theme as it is more complete than the simple theme
SVGS also are more clear and typically take less memory than pngs
Its looking really good though :)

@herb_fargus I used a tile for all backgrounds, and all logos are .svg files. All changes are made on my github. Try and test it now.

@lilbud testing right now :)
-
I will be getting back to this theme soon, been busy with testing and other work.

@herb_fargus
Github repository has been updated, ready for testing. It works on my end, try it now. -
@lilbud out of town for a couple more days but I'll give it a test once I get back and have access to my pi again
-
@lilbud I tested it with ~30 systems and it didnt blackscreen this time so that was good, its much improved. The icons on the retropie menu could probably be improved so they are full size at 512 px by 512 px as they are currently stretched vertically.
I've also added it to the main retropie setup script as an option.
