Hello, I'm a new user and I recently got a Raspberry Pi for Christmas. I was hoping to set it up as an emulator and media centre, using RetroPie. However, I've had nothing but problems trying to get RetroPie to work properly. The controller I was using frequently stopped working, and it occasionally froze. Most recently, when trying to install all of the optional components that were available, RetroPi entered a constant error cycle and wouldn't stop unless unplugged. This error also occurred when updating RetroPie itself. This is a brand new raspberry pi, and I'm using a brand new power supply and micro sd card. I know that the power supply can be a cause for some issues, but this one was made specifically for raspberry pi. These are the errors:

I've formatted the card and reinstalled the firmware with win32diskimager several times, hoping that it would fix it, but this type of error has cropped up several times now. I hope you can help me figure out what the issue is.

@kouen922 looks like SD card corruption. Might be worth testing out another micro SD card just to be sure.

Also we can't read minds, if you want to narrow down your issue you need to explicitly detail your setup steps etc detailed in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first

Easiest way I've found is to just take it one step at a time documenting each step to narrow down where exactly things go wrong

If you read the documentation it will answer 99% of your questions: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/

Also if you want a solution to your problems read this first: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first
