No ports section with fresh install and (still) no Bluetooth?
-
I made a fresh install with win32diskimager on a SD-card with the latest RetroPie (4.1).
This is what I've done:- update all installed packages
- install kodi
sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get dist-upgrade sudo apt-get install pi-bluetooth
But there isn't a port section which should contain Kodi. I also tried installing an extra port, OpenTyrian, but the port section still didn't show. Rebooted several times. Also switched from theme. Still no port section.
Updated Kodi... nothing. Removed Kodi and installed it again, nothing..I'm also having trouble connection my bluetooth controller. I can't find it within the RetroPie-Setup menu. And when I do the following, I get this:
sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get dist-upgrade sudo apt-get install pi-bluetooth
pi@retropie:~ $ hcitool dev Devices: pi@retropie:~ $ hciconfig pi@retropie:~ $ hcitool scan Device is not available: No such device
I have currently no overclock settings

having the same problem with kodi not showing up.
theres no ports section that shows up in emulationstation and when i browse the system cfg file theres no ports entry, this bug needs fixing asap! -
@EightiethRaptor I assume you must have updated the RetroPie-Setup script or all packages first as this is probably a new issue from just a few days where a change was merged.
It helps if you provide information as agreed when registering and as clearly printed at the top of the screen.
this bug needs fixing asap!
Comments like this do not speed things up!

I had this same problem. I had to start from scratch and NOT update the retropie script. I then installed Kodi and it showed up. It was racking my brain like crazy. I still haven't updated the script or anything else for that matter.

@alrdtakn1 It should be fixed now in RetroPie-Setup 4.1.9

Awesome, buzz you're a true hero around. I'll update after I get more setup and make another backup. I'll also let you know if I come across any other issues.

Okay cool, I'll try it out tomorrow.
And how about the Bluetooth. What can I do to test if my Bluetooth is even working? To rule out I don't have a defective RPi.
And what can I do to make it work? I do have a Bluetooth USB dongle. I could use that one (I think it is Raspberry compatible) but I prefer to use the one already available in the RPi3. And I don't know how to make the usb Bluetooth to work (I guess I should chose the USB Bluetooth somewhere instead of the build-in Bluetooth)
