System Lockup on delete of last Rom in emulator set

Not totally sure where to put this, but I stumbled across an odd bug last night, and after a brief search couldn't find note of it. Here's how to reproduce:
I deleted the last of my MAME roms (from all branches) from the emulationstation menu, and upon deleting the last one in all three cases it crashed back to terminal, and the keyboard was unresponsive.
It's a very unusual one, but a bug so I figured it might be helpful if I posted :)
