      Hi guys,

I recently set up my RPi 3, Model B and installed Retropie. After that I updated everything via the option in the menu.

Now I'm trying to get the retroachievements to work. I set up everything like it was mentioned in the guide and it works perfectly for NES and Genesis Games. Unfortunately I cannot get the retroachievemnts for the SNES games to work.
When I boot up a game and take a look at the quick menu of Retroarch, it always shows me, that there aren't any achievements for the game.
I also tried to use different emulators, but nothing works. :(

Can you guys help me please?

          I'm using the Snes9x 2010. I also tried Snes9x 2005,
          Snes9x 2002 and Snes9x.

I'm not at home at the moment, but I try to provide you with the requested files asap!

Sorry, I'm new to the whole Raspberry Pi thing. How do I post the runcommand.log and which configs do you need?

@Keysersoze77 When launching a game press a button to see the runcommand menu, then choose "Launch with verbose logging". After RetroArch starts you can exit the emulator. The file will be in /dev/shm/runcommand.log.

The configs a need to see is the /opt/retropie/configs/snes/retroarch.cfg and /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg, but be sure to mask your RetroAchievements password before posting it. Post the content of these files on ghostbin.com or something similar.

Thank you very much for your quick reply! I'm at work at the moment and pretty busy at the weekend. I hope I can provide these files for you not later than sunday.

Just another quick question: can I open these files via Samba-Shares on my Windows Laptop and copy the log to ghostbin.com?

I just found some time to copy the retroarch.cfg files:

                      /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg: https://ghostbin.com/paste/oz29t
                      /opt/retropie/configs/snes/retroarch.cfg: https://ghostbin.com/paste/k7ygr

But I'm to stupid to find the runcommand log. I just get bios, configs, roms and splashscreens when I open the Pi with \RETROPIE in my windows explorer.

EDITH: Nevermind, I found it: https://ghostbin.com/paste/2ws69

@Keysersoze77 according to the logs everything is fine. Try updating RetroArch from source.

@Keysersoze77 you played super mario world (snes) in Jan-08-2017. Wasn't it on RetroPie? :-)

I'm getting these errors if I try to update Retroarch from source. :(

And on the 8th of January I wasn't using Retropie. I tried the game on my PC.

@Keysersoze77 update RetroPie-Setup before trying to update RetroArch from source.

I've now updated Retroarch and still got no achievements for SNES games. :(

Do the achievements for the SNES games work on your Pi? And do you have any other idea how to get them to work?

@Keysersoze77 yes, it works. The strange thing is that according to your log you logged in retroachievements and got the cheevos list successfully (super mario world - snes). The only suggestion I can give is to try again and check your logs...

I can't believe it, I just found the solution. The problem was the ROM-type. I used the *.smc ROMs and it didn't show the achievements. When I tried the *.sfc ROMs everything worked and the achievements showed up in Retroarch.

Thank you very much for all your help!

Did you just change the extension or obtain another set. I believe RetroAchievements determine ROMs based on a hash check rather than a naming convention. It could be that the hashes were off in your original SNES set.

I obtained another ROM. I realized that retroachievements showed "bad rom pile" on their website when I loaded the old file.
