First of all, I'm using a raspberry pi B+ running retropie 4.0.2. I have two PS3 controllers that I have successfully plugged up and mapped out in emulation station. It works great, can play two player games with 2 controllers simultaneously with no problem. When I first set up the controllers, all of the lights were blinking the entire time during gameplay.

When I shutdown my pi and restart, both controllers stop blinking and both controllers have one solid light each (ps3 controller one with light in 1st player spot and PS3 controller two with light in 2 player spot). Everything looks like it should be working, and controller 1 does work, but controller 2 does not work anymore. Even when I try to remap the controls for it (and it still recognizes 2 game pads).

In order for it to recognize PS3 controller 2, I have to use a pen and press the reset button on the controller each time I restart.

Is there any way around this? It would be nice if I could get controller no 2 working as easily as 1 after restarting the pi. I'm not interested in getting a Bluetooth dongle - I'm cool with the cables, which I thought would be an easier route than BT. Any help would be much appreciated!
