      @lilbud https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/2389/solution-for-white-screen-of-death/132

I think it basically comes down to being able to use large images for many systems without the theme breaking. It think it required a major change to how ES displays each system.

My ES themes: MetaPixel | Spare | Io | Indent

@lipebello I like it a lot. The lines behind the box art look great.

I think I like the font you used for the Logo on the System View more than this one though.

I'm comming a little after the war ^^ but 80Ko for a png logo is "huge"...

Did you try some "compressor" ?

I recommand you optipng or pngquant... your png logo will be near the same size as svg ;)

(Your Theme is great ^^ do you think of create a MIX template with UXS ? maybe you can give a comics style to the media you show in the detail vue with some more media (like you did on the system view, some cut between the cover and a screenshot for exemple... If you want I can give it a try ;) )

@screech actually 80Kb for a PNG logo is extremely small, pngs are raster and come in around 500kb to 1mb if around 1000px wide at 72dpi when set to 24bit with alpha transparency. If you are talking SVG which is vector based, then yes 80kb is a definitely on the heavy side.

                            Also, this theme looks awesome!

112kb for a 560x203 png logo with lot's of transparency is pretty huge ;)

just to test, I take your first logo and pass it through pngquant.

                              The result : http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=03683192736298317951

                              From 112Kb to 27Kb...

I think you can give it a try ;)

                              Your 112Kb :
                              alt text

                              My 27Kb :
                              alt text

Well would you look at that, i learned something today. What the tool you posted does is output an 8bit png with full alpha transparency, 8 bit is way smaller than 24bit. Given i work on photoshop every day i had to look into this further, and i was quite surprised that photoshop can't output png8 with alpha, it defaults to using indexed color when saving anything under 24bit and you lose alpha trans. That tool is pretty awesome, really useful for web design!

@screech - Thanks for the advice. Turns out that i was using the artboard resolution, wich gives me a lot of space with transparency.
Now i have around 20KB per logo.

I have made new logos to used on system and menus. Trying to made it look like the super heroes logos.
