When I turn on bluetooth background mode it seems every 10 seconds the shell hangs. I see the commit to add ability for background to check and sleep for 10 seconds, but not sure what the "hang" on the shell is. Anyone else seen this?

@markg probably the scan interfering somehow. using wifi or ethernet ? Please try and provide a little more information when posting - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first

I wouldn't use background connect unless really necessary - it's a hack - 8bitdo controllers don't need it on the latest firmware for example.

Using wifi for network, have SNES30 8bitdo controller and xbox wireless. Shell access on device with keyboard fine, just SSH that hangs. Flip back to boot/default and issue goes away.

Reason I'm doing it is my bluetooth generic keyboard wasn't auto reconnecting. Works fine after reboot but never reconnects. Turns out background thing didn't help anyway. Just surprised by the hang.

@markg possibly interfering with the wifi - maybe changing wifi channel would help.
