GBA not Scraping
-
Hey guys,
So I just installed RetroPie on a RPi Zero and for some reason, I can't scrape my GBA games. I tried the stystem and the selph's scraper, but nothing.
Any help would be appreciated.

@atexplosion gamesdb.net is down by the look of it, and that's where these scrapers default to for their data. Try another source site (you can switch in both programs to alternate ones). Details for doing that us in the wiki.

I can't seem to find the way to switch the scraper on emulationstation. Do I just go in through terminal and select it through scraper?

The alternate Emulation Station source was recently removed. It hadn't worked for some time. Selph's scraper has a few different sources for both console and arcade scraping, as detailed here.
-
Another alternative is to use Universal XML Scraper by @screech using the screenscraper.fr db.

I know I had a hard time scraping GBA games until I checked the file names before loading them onto the Raspberry Pi. All of my GBA file names had a bunch of weird characters before and after the actual name of the game. Once I removed them from the filename, I was able to scrape without any problems.

@Rion I tried the Universal XML Scraper and it pretty much screwed up my games list.

@atexplosion delete old gamelist.xml and rescrape. It's a bad ide to keep the old gamelist when doing a new scan.
