Retro arch cores issue
-
same solution: https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Updating-RetroPie
what can't you find ?
-
"Choose "Install Individual Emulators from Binary or Source" and then, choose the core you want to update.
Core updating via rgui doesn't work in RetroPie."
I cant find that option anywhere. Ive tried going through each option 1 by 1 and I cant seem to come across it.
can you tell me which path of options to take to get to it?
-
@valo are you looking in the retroarch menu? it's not in there. the retropie-setup menu is accessed via emulation station > retropie > retropie setup.
-
No, ive been looking in retropie setup
Please forgive my ignorance but on bootup i am presented with a horizontal menu of a few consoles(not the full list that i tried installing via setup) and then when i click on retro pie via this menu im presented with a vertical list of options.
Audio
Bluetooth
Configuration Editor
ES Themes
File Manager
Raspi-Config
Retroarch
Retroarch Netplay
Retropie Setup
Run command editor
Show IP
Splashscreens
WIFII have looked in retropie setup from here, and i do not see any such option. am i missing a step?

follow the documentation page from the top.

I am, I'm sorry. Did the old answer actually mean install update from binarry instead of mentioning emulator? even trying to use the find command, no such option is meantioned in documentation. Im trying to update the retroarch cores, not cores as pie refers to them
-
i don't know how i can answer you anything that isn't in that documentation. manage packages > main (probably) > select core (retroarch ones are prefixed "lr-") > update by binary.
