      I got my pi 3 for a week or 2 now. I installed retropie and it worked perfect on my bedroom tv. Now i wanted to play in the livingroom so i pluged everything in and turned my pi on. It starts i see the retropie logo and after that it goes black with in the left corner the option choose. I can navigate trough the system but i can't see anything. When i start a game the screen returns normal and i can play my game. Idk what the issue is because the problem only appears on the livingroom tv.

        It sounds like to me that EmulationStation is trying to display in a resolution that your livingroom TV doesn't support. Most of the emulators use lower resolutions so that's probably why they display okay.
