As the title suggests, all of my controllers work for every game platform including Emulation Station. However, when I boot any N64 game, the controls don't work. Oddly enough, hitting SELECT and START to back out of a game works perfectly fine.

To make matters even more weird, the buttons on the wireless keyboard work in the game. It's just controllers don't. I have disconnected the keyboard and tried the controllers individually on a reboot, and still having the same issue.

      Version: 4.1, fully updated

      Controllers tried: USB N64, USB 360, 8Bitdo NES30

Is there something to add or change in retroarch.cfg either in /all/ or specific to /n64/ to force controller buttons to work?

I've tried a couple things since I posted, but with no luck. Here's what I've done to hopefully weed out the issue...

I've followed the instructions in this thread to add Joystick Selection to the RetroPie Menu. I configured the all four controller ports for XBOX 360 controllers solely for N64.

The back out hotkey (select+start) works on the controller, but nothing else. Oddly enough, all of the buttons on the wireless keyboard work in the games. I've rebooted with just the controller connected, and still no luck.

What possible steps do I have from here?
