Hi friends somebody has or had this gamepad? Does it worths my money? How does it behives on RetroPie? I want a PS3 like gamepad because Sony has a really Nintendo-ish button layout being circle yes or A and X no or B, but sadly on my country a Dollar is equal to 20 units of money of my country; I want it to play games of course but also for Kodi as a remote

This is the gamepad I want

Update: solved; I got a rock candy controller and it worked fine

@sergioad obviously it is a risk with cheaper third-party products, as they say "Buy cheap, pay twice". That said, I use a cheap Gioteck VX2 Wireless PS3 controller (it's not Bluetooth) and have had no issues at all. They are less than £10 in the UK (£40 for an official Sony one). The wireless receiver is big and ugly though - so it spoils the look if your pi is on view!

You can take a look at a junk ps3 controller that won't turn on. Then you need to have a Y cable that have a mini USB out.
Put the main USB in to a regular USB 2.0 and the other USB end in to a USB 3.0 port(like a jump start) , and voila the controller charges and you can use it after it's charged.
I bought a few controllers with this issue, and used this method on all of them, and they all works now.

Thank you very much 😀 I really want to use a PS3 controller because I want to use my pi as a DVD player via Kodi keeping the retro game console function intact, this could be a nice oportunity
