WaveShare 5" screen setup with Retropi. How do you do it?
-
HI, Im doing a cool project for myself where i wanted to make an arcade machine using retropie and an LCD screen. I ordered this Screen: (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Makibes-800×480-Resolution-Resistive-Raspberry/dp/B00YE0UPFW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1489086928&sr=8-2&keywords=5+inch+raspberry+pi+display)
The screen was supposed to be for my RaspberryPi 3 model B (i know it says that its for the RaspberryPi 2 but i looked at the comments and people said that it works with the Pi3 ) and i have spent hours trying to find a way to make it work with retropie but i have found absolutely nothing, or at least things that i don't understand at all.
As soon as i got the screen I put the pins in and the HDMI adapter and the screen was wierd and fuzzy and it was just lines... but then i stupidly tried to change the config file on my PC to the configuration for Raspbian OS
( putting in this command:
hdmi_group=2
hdmi_mode=87
hdmi_cvt 800 480 60 6 0 0 0)
and that also didnt work but has given me some hope because the screen is just white. I tried to turn it back and get the screen that i had before changing any files by deleting the things that i put in the config file but now the screen is still white...I wouldn't mind reinstalling retropie but if there is a way around doing that then anything will be much appreciated.
Here is A Pastebin of my Config: http://pastebin.com/m22C6RSE
Thanks in Advance!
