PS3 controller bluetooth Rpi3?

Hi folks!
Having some trouble setting up my controller. It is NOT the original PS3 controller...but it´s detecting it as one. It´s a "Hama PS3 controller". So it has the same button setup.
I am following this video:
But it doesn´t work for me. One i have the USB cable it works. But as soon as i remove it...it doesn´t. Am i missing something? I´m not having a bluetooth donngle either. I shouldn´t need that for a PS3 controller right? Anyways didn´t a doongle didn´t come with the controller.
Do i need to do something extra? Like activating bluetooth or something?

I had some clones aswell, that would work fine with a PS3 but they would only work with Pi when using USB cable :( Did you try the clone drivers also? (found the same place as the PS3 driver)
Now i got me some original ones, but they make the PSX emulator freeze up at random. It seems like the PS3 driver is quite 'tight', and doesn't work eqully well with all original PS3 controllers aswell.

Yeah, tried the clone drivers also....but as long as i don´t have the controller USB connected nothing happens.
The strange thing is when i go to "Bluetooth" from the Retropie screen...i am able to find my controller....it seems to be listed....really odd.

Do you have an original controller? Or is it a clone PS3 ccontroller? How well does the bluetooth work? Are you using a dongle of Pi3´s own bluetooth?
