Mame, Arcade, FBA, another guy that can't get it to work.

So I have taken the time to read all the forums, several youtube videos, all the suggested reading on this site....
Still I cant get Arcade games to load.
I have gone over this

Still the arcade games are not running with the emulator....Where do most people go from here?

@KANE81 what romset do you have? Or did you download random MAME roms?

@KANE81 and what emulator are you using? The romset must match the version required for the emulator you choose. Moreover, the specific rom you are trying to run may have dependencies and require a parent rom to be present.
We need more details about what you have, what you are doing, etc., and that doesn't mean you should say, "I am trying to launch Donkey Kong with MAME." Which MAME? What romset did your dkong.zip come from? How is it failing?
You see, you need to be very specific, not just "I have done this" which tells us nothing.

This is not an attempt to boast but i got it up and running first time with no issues whatsoever - therefore all the info is there.
May i suggest you specifically target mame 0.78 and download a complete rom set for that, put them in the 'arcade' folder and use lr-mame2003 to run it - that way you should be able to get it up and running very quickly, as others have said the lack of info about your setup means it is hard to help you.
