      Hi there,
I'm working on a Pocket PiGRRL project on basis of a Raspberry A+ as is described here.
I have a problem with the SD-Card image that is provided at this link by adafruit. When I burn it onto the card, it won't boot! The green LED flashes 8x having a break and flashing 8x again and so on. I learned, it indicates problems with reading from SD.
I followed the very same procedure as before but burned the standard (unmodified) image from here instead, and it boots just fine!
      What could be the problem?

@basteluwe You are asking RetroPie why their image works and a third party modified image doesn't? You would really need to address your query to adafruit whose image it is.

No, I'm not asking Retropie! I'm asking experianced guys here at this forum for advice!
But forget it. I used the basic package and did the changes manually myself. So, problem solved (for me at least).
