      I currently have a Raspberry Pi 3 with RetroPie loaded onto it.

      After the FCC Privacy rules vote yesterday, I would like to install a VPN on my Pi as well so I can run my traffic through there for encryption.

      It looks like I can't install the VPN in Retropie OS so I would need to have the ability to dualboot both Raspbian and RetroPie.

      From what I have been reading, the best way to do this would be to wipe my SD card and install BerryBoot then install Raspbian/Retropie via BerryBoot to give me the option of choosing the OS on boot up. From there I will be able to boot into Raspbian and install whatever VPN I choose.

      Then I will have the ability to run the VPN on Raspbian and potentially boot into RetroPie to play games if I choose to.

      Has anyone done something similar before?
      Before I wipe all the configuration I already have, is there a better way of going about this??

      Thanks for the help!

        @Jundishi There is no such thing as RetroPie OS. RetroPie runs on Raspbian on the premade images. So anything that works on Raspbian will work on it.

          @BuZz Thanks for the response

          I haven't been able to find any mention of installing a VPN on RetroPie, is it even possible to do?

          If I am understanding you correctly, then I should be able to exit RetroPie into Raspbian install the VPN on there?

          Then once I turn on the Pi I will just need to exit RetroPie and enable the VPN and then go back into RetroPie??

          I am a bit confused of the interaction.

          Would it just be easier to install BerryBoot?

            @Jundishi installing VPN on the retropie image is exactly the same as doing it on Raspbian. There are a selection of openvpn tutorials for Raspbian on the net. You can enable the vpn on boot for RetroPie via /etc/rc.local or via /opt/retropie/configs/all/autostart.sh

              @BuZz Thanks for all the info.

              I am pretty new to Linux but I think I should be okay with the VPN portion of it by following a guide.

              As for enabling VPN on boot for RetroPie, that should be as simple correct? Just SSH into the Pi and edit the settings there?

              Sorry for the dumb questions!
