Uninstall Kodi on Retropie?

I have searched for 2 days and could not find an answer. I removed a build from Kodi and ever since then I cannot install any addons. I add redacted read the forum rules! as a source for example, then go to install from zip. I chose the begin here zip and I get the error "unable to install addon from zip file". At this point I think I should uninstall Kodi and start from scratch. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do that however.

To remove Kodi, run the option in RetroPie-Setup.
Kodi settings aren't removed in the uninstall process so remove /home/pi/.kodi (it is a hidden directory). Doing this with Kodi installed, resets Kodi settings to default.

Thanks, I removed Kodi from the setup in optional packages and got a bunch of errors:

Cannot initiate the connection to mirrordirector....
Unable to connect to dl.bintray.com

These were under "Get:7"

Then failed to fetch http://mirrordirector.raspbian.org.......

Is this normal?

I then went into terminal and typed "rmdir /home/pi/.kodi" and it returned failed to remove, directory not empty.

@DKAudio sounds like your internet connection was not working.

rmdir will not work. you need to use rm -rf to remove the folder recursively.

man rmdir

NAME
       rmdir - remove empty directories

SYNOPSIS
       rmdir [OPTION]... DIRECTORY...

DESCRIPTION
       Remove the DIRECTORY(ies), if they are empty.

My internet never fails really, am using my iPad now just fine.

I typed
rm -rf /home/pi/.kodi

At this point it is recommended to try and install Kodi from the optional packages menu again?

@DKAudio Give it another go and before you launch next time delete Addons27.db It gets corrupted.

Sorry, just want to clarify since I'm not the best at this...

Install then prior to running remove that directory in terminal?

@DKAudio What? Update the setup script. Install or update KODI. If it doesn't launch then delete Addons27.db then reboot and try again.

Ok, not familiar with the setup script. I am installing now though.

@DKAudio If you are using RetroPie you should be familiar with the RetroPie Setup Script

I will research it, getting a bunch of errors installing anyway. It actually just failed. I don't get it, my network is fine on all my other devices.

In the WiFi menu it did not show a network, I tried setting it up and no SSID's were appearing. I reset my router, rebooted the Pi, reconfigured WiFi and tried installing Kodi again. Many errors popped up and after 15 minutes said failed to install. All my other WiFi devices in the house are working fine. I'm not sure what to do.
