    N64 glide freezes my pi?

      running an overclock? any power/temp warning symbols?

        @dankcushions no overclock its stock settings and also no power symbol or anything also why would other N64 eemulators work and not glide?
        And i use a fan as well so no temp problems

          @retrofreak89 GLideN64 is the most demanding n64 emulator. probably the most demanding emulator in the stock image, even. what games? does it crash in the same place?

            @dankcushions its random locks up to the point i have to pull the plug does it in a few games should k not be using glide then? Also why does it freeze is like to fix it if possible

            Its the mupen64plus glide 64 that locks up

              N64 emulation is bad on a pc on a pi it will be even worse adding extra things to deal with like plugins and expect a frustrating experience... N64 is a lost cause on a pi

                  Its running stock no temp or power warning
                  Its running with a 5v fan and 3amp adapter..
                  But the pi Just locks up randomly with mupen64 glide64
                  I dont know what to do its a fresh install of retropie too

                  Any advise
                  how do i change plugin so it works?

                      The game was doom 64 and turok 1 i believe it was

                      Also i had to pull the plug since it was hard locked
                      Did i ruin my SD card?? I heard its bad for SD card but i had no choice

                        It can be overheating. My pi hangs if ambient temperature is high and the enclosure is closed. Overheating symbol does not show up if gpu gets to hot.

                          @gizmo98 im running a fan 5v and heatsink @ stock and its freezes within 10mins of play i doubt its the temperature i check my temperature alot never seen it above 45c

                            I've encountered the freeze in Doom 64. It happens after trying to use the in-game map, right? I'm able to remedy this by selecting the lr-mupen64plus as the rom's default emulator in the runcommand menu.
