N64 glide freezes my pi?
-
@dankcushions no overclock its stock settings and also no power symbol or anything also why would other N64 eemulators work and not glide?
And i use a fan as well so no temp problems -
@retrofreak89 GLideN64 is the most demanding n64 emulator. probably the most demanding emulator in the stock image, even. what games? does it crash in the same place?
-
@dankcushions its random locks up to the point i have to pull the plug does it in a few games should k not be using glide then? Also why does it freeze is like to fix it if possible
Its the mupen64plus glide 64 that locks up

N64 emulation is bad on a pc on a pi it will be even worse adding extra things to deal with like plugins and expect a frustrating experience... N64 is a lost cause on a pi
Edit: I collect down votes carry on ... Troll

how do i change plugin so it works? -

@dankcushions no it does not crash in the same place..
The game was doom 64 and turok 1 i believe it wasAlso i had to pull the plug since it was hard locked
Did i ruin my SD card?? I heard its bad for SD card but i had no choice -
It can be overheating. My pi hangs if ambient temperature is high and the enclosure is closed. Overheating symbol does not show up if gpu gets to hot.

@gizmo98 im running a fan 5v and heatsink @ stock and its freezes within 10mins of play i doubt its the temperature i check my temperature alot never seen it above 45c

I've encountered the freeze in Doom 64. It happens after trying to use the in-game map, right? I'm able to remedy this by selecting the lr-mupen64plus as the rom's default emulator in the runcommand menu.

@quackwalks Yeah i think so but the other game froze too
