Sharp x68000 lr-px68k not registering mouse click
-
Hello,
I am currently using a Raspberry Pi 3B (not overclocked)
I installed RetroPie on top of Raspbian
I am using Retropie 4.2.16
I am using a 2.4A power supplyI have been having difficulty with the Sharp x68000 emulator lr-px68k. It is picking up my mouse movements properly, but it will not pick up the mouse click. I have tried left, right, and middlewheel clicking, but it doesn't work. Therefore, I cannot move past the x68000 desktop screen. I have tried multiple mice that are confirmed to work elsewhere. I don't think my mouse is the problem, as ScummVM, another RetroPie emulator, accepts movement and clicking just fine. That being said, ResidualVM, which has a similar GUI to ScummVM, does not seem to pick up my mouse properly at all, with a small black mouse pointer that can move but not interact with anything. I should also note that I have all of the BIOS and font files for lr-px68k listed on the GitHub page and have confirmed checksums.
Now, I have had an issue in the past with the non-libretro version of px68k not accepting mouse clicks even though a moving mouse was shown, but that turned out to be a case of a double mouse cursor, where I was moving a solid black mouse cursor, while the blue-tinted cursor that was actually part of the emulator was stuck in a corner. However, in lr-px68k, I am moving the blue-tinted cursor with no other visible cursors. It still does not register clicks.
I have also tried changing the control to joystick via the F12 menu in the emulator and restarting. However, that seems to remove my control completely with my standard RetroPie controller failing to move the mouse pointer. I have tried performing a "RESET" and a "NMI RESET" from the F12 emulator in the menu and that has not helped. I am going to post my code from retroarch.cfg from the /opt/retropie/configs/x68000 folder and the /opt/retropie/configs/all folder in hopes that someone can help.

# Settings made here will only override settings in the global retroarch.cfg if placed above the #include line input_remapping_directory = "/opt/retropie/configs/x68000/" #include "/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg"

@nowarrivinghere It may be a limitation of the libretro core (which is still new and in experimental).

That's a shame. I was hoping it was something I could fix on my own. I do love my Japanese computers. I'm glad to see that an official Retropie guide for the PC-88 emulator showed up within the past few months at least.
