Re: n64 - frame per second (fps) counter how to disable this?

Hello! I'm trying to turn on the FPS display to resolve the bug it should inadvertently resolve, but even though my configuration shows showpfs =true it doesn't display.
I had the version before the current installed and then updated from there. Not sure if this messed with the default configuration or anything.?
BTW, running on a Pie3 with my GPU set overclocked at 500.

@joshbgosh10592 the fps counter is black and almost hidden. you can see it in mario 64 at the bottom left.

which n64 emulator are you using? which version of retropie-setup script?

I don't see it, even at the beginning when the screen flashes all white.
I'm using mupen73plus-Gles2n64 as the emulator.
RetroPie-Setup shows Version 4.2.16, last commit 9 days ago.

@joshbgosh10592 only mupen64plus-gliden64 (the default) has the fps fix. the other video plugins have nothing to do with it.

That would explain that part, however it still doesn't show using that plugin either.

@joshbgosh10592 are you SURE you're running GLiden64 now? what game are using to test?

this all works for me. if you installed a retropie default image i'm sure it would do it. the script forces it: https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/blob/master/scriptmodules/emulators/mupen64plus/mupen64plus.sh#L250

@dankcushions That'll change the settings to the new "default" then?
How exactly do I use that script from the console?

@joshbgosh10592 the script is just the one that runs mupen64plus in retropie -you're already using it :) i was just showing how it forces the show fps stuff, if you're running GLideN64. i can't see how you'd avoid it.
