    Hi,
I am trying to figure out the PSX emulator on my retropie3 and I think I'm almost getting there. scph5500.bin
scph5502.bin and scph5503.bin are in the Bios folder and all seems fine and recognized now I only have to take care of SCPH1001.BIN (checksum ok) and I've read everywhere that the file was case sensitive so I renamed it scph1001.bin, apparently does not belong in the Bios folder (when I tried to drag it there I got the message: Your file does not seem to be a supported Bios) so I dragged and dropped it with the retropie manager in the rom folder, uploads ok and then I can see the file. But I still get the message:
This system requires one or more bios file that are missing from your installation:
    SCPH1001.BIN
it's really incredibly frustrating. Any ideas what to do next?
    Thanks for your time

Also, it is recommended to use newer bios, since that 1001 is the original one from 1994 I think. If you get something like 5xxx, 7xxx, 9xxx or 100 series one, they would be more compatible with some games.

My soul rests, when I hear the PS1 boot music

@dankcushions Fixed it and tried again:
SCPH1001.BIN > Bios folder > Your file does not seem to be a supported Bios

What I really don't understand is why does that file name doesn't even appear with the other greyed out names when I check the Bios folder on the Retropie Manager.

retropie manager isn't official - you should ask here: https://github.com/botolo78/RetroPie-Manager

the supported ways of transferring BIOS/roms are here: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Transferring-Roms/
