PS3 Controller - buttons aren't recognized
-
I am trying to configure my PS3 controller with RetroPie. I setup bluetooth connectivity, but when I go to the controller configuration screen, it doesn't recognize when I hit the square, triangle, circle, or X buttons. The arrow pad works, as does start and select, so I know some input is getting from the controller to RetroPie. But hitting the other buttons doesn't do anything.
Has anyone experienced this? Is there a work around? I am using a Sony PS3 controller.

@kbadr if it is plugged in while you are configuring, then you need to press the ps button. You need to configure with it plugged and unplugged because they create two seperate configs.

@edmaul69 I have managed to configure the PS3 controller, using one of the alternative ps3controller drivers...but...the individual emulators are now not recognizing any button presses. Emulation station does, but games do not. So close. This is frustrating. I have tried several solutions/work arounds that I've seen referenced but I don't think they apply to Retropie 4.3. Anyone have solutions for this?

@kbadr did you try resetting it up in emulationstation so it would create the other needed configs?
