      Hello all,

I've spent the better part of two days reading these forums and burning a hole in Google but haven't had any luck, I am hoping an expert here may be able to tell me if this is even possible or if I'm wasting my time.

I purchased a Raspberry Pi 3 B to run Retropie on, I have the latest version installed and it runs great!

So I thought I'd grab a wireless PS3 controller for PS1 emulation. I didn't think I'd need a genuine controller so bought the following knock-off clone from my local EB Games retailer (Australia):

      LINK
      0_1480901889423_203863_detail.jpg

It does work while connected via USB cable but it does NOT work via Bluetooth. I'd really like to use it wireless.

When connected the device reports itself as the following:

      SHENGHIC 2009/0708ZXW-V1Inc. PLAYSTATION(R)3Conteroller

Has anyone had any luck in getting this same controller, or a clone based on the same chipset, working via Bluetooth on the Raspberry Pi 3 B?

I tried everything I could find and don't mind running through it all again here however I'm really looking to confirm I'm not trying to paddle up-stream, if someone knows definitively if I can make this work or not at least I know then if my trials are futile.

Thank you in advance for your advice!

So after another weekend of Googling my heart out I've given up, the controller has limited functionality while wired and will not connect via wireless. I have put it on the second hand market to get rid of it.

So my question is - are there any NEW PS3 controller clones like this which are known to work with Retropie? Or will I be taking a gamble on any knock-off brand? Should I perhaps just pick up a used PS3 original controller?

I know I'm replying to an old post, but in case Erasmuz didn't sell his gamestop@atplay-ps3-controller-clone, or somebody else is frustrated and finds this by googling - don't give up. This controller works just with the current version of retropie. Just activate the ps3 gasia drivers.

            I have a controller name as "SHENGHIC 2009/0708ZXW-V1Inc. PLAYSTATION(R)3Conteroller " too.
Have tried it with the retropie 4.5.18 with sixaxis driver (third-party), ps3controller driver(both gasia and shanwan ) or even xboxdrv, neither of them works.
