    Hello! I was recently given a retro pie zero v1.3 and I wanted to turn it into a retro gaming system. So after following all the instructions and installing my desired emulators and ROMS, I powered up my retro pie and once everything is loaded I don't see anything on my screen except the "configuration menu" did I miss a step? I opened up my files through the retro pie menu and I see the emulators and ROMS but when I back out I still only get the configuration screen. I'm totally new to this but I'm very excited to learn more! Thanks in advanced for the help

      @salabros No system will show up unless you have some ROMs added in their folders, so what you're seeing is normal. It's clearly stated in the docs:

      When you first see EmulationStation you may wonder why you don't see systems like the SNES or Game Boy- worry not- they are installed on the system, roms just need to be added to their respective rom folders before they will become visible.

      After you transfer your ROMs, restart Emulationstation from its main menu and the systems will show up, alongside the RetroPie (Configuration) system.

        @salabros Make sure you didn't unzip your ROMS. They are meant to be stored as ZIP files.

          Are they? None of my roms are on my Pi as zip files. Only .nes for Nintendo games etc.

            @redzombiehd I think he refers to arcade (mame) ROMs, those are not meant to be unzipped.

              @mitu Correct, I should have been clearer.

                I was finally able to see my ROMS now the trouble I'm having is once I load the ROM it doesn't let me use my controller. I can use it in the main menu to select the game I want BUT once the game loads it doesn't and I do see on the bottom left of the screen in yellow where it says "gamepad: xbox 360 controller usb" but I can't move or anything. I read somewhere that I might need a keyboard? Also on the main screen, the menu pops up doesn't have the option to configure gamepad anymore it only says "Sound setting". The version of Emulation station I'm using is v2.7.5

                  @salabros You should be able to configure your gamepad again, there is a Configure Input menu entry down on the start menu in Emulationstation. Does your controller work in Emulationstation ?

                    @mitu it works on emulation station but it doesn't work after the rom is loaded.

                      @salabros Can you use the RetroPie-Setup script and re-install the xpad driver - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Xbox-360-Controller/#xpad-driver - then re-boot and re-test ?
