Pi Model or other hardware: (3b)
Power Supply used: (The Recommended One)
    RetroPie Version Used (retropie-4.4-rpi2_rpi3)
    Built From: (The Original Image)
    USB Devices connected: Keyboard Only
Controller used: IPAC 2 Controller In Keyboard Mode
    Error messages received: N/A
    Emulator: (PCSX-ReArmed)

I have my Pi in an arcade cabinet running through an IPAC 2 and all is working fine. The controls in all PSX games work fine however I have a couple of pinball games so I wanted to remap the keys to my flipper buttons. I access the config menu from within the game and set my controls up and then save cfg for loaded game. If I continue the game my new controls work, however if I exit and reload the game it reverts the controls.

I notice if I save the game cfg it writes the cfg file to configs/psx/pcsx/cfg/ and names this particular file SLUS01261-SLUS01261.cfg

If I choose to save the settings as global that works fine however the non pinball games have the pinball controls LOL

    Any advice appreciated.

cant speak for the standalone pcsx-rearmed so someone else could probly chip in there as for the libretro build its possible to generate game specific overides both for core settings and controller remaps via the quick menu section of emulators menu i use the libretro build myself for specific core settings for certan games as analogue input breaks certan games and enhanced resolution brings in graphic glitches on some too so i have specific configs for these games via the override feature
