This is a forum dedicated to RetroPie, of which Emulationstation is just a part. We don't use the official Emulationstation.org program, nor we support it. The RetroPie project has its own RetroPie fork maintained here - if this is not the Emulationstation you're using, then we can't offer any help here.
As for the scraper - where did you hear those 'rumors' ?

@naddel81 I would be very happy for you to go and use recalbox if it stops you complaining again and again about the scraper on here.

Can everyone stop over dramatising this - it's not the end of the world. It's getting a little irritating.

As far as I know, there's no dedicated Emulationstation forum - apart from the Reddit community for it.
As for it's usage, the main project has long been un-maintained (though the author added a fix the the internal scraper last year), it only lives through its forks - like the one used by the RetroPie project. My guess is that the Windows have moved to other - still maintained - front-ends.

I searched on google and looks like not works.

We requested for help on gbatemp.net forum d they said that we need to go here in retropie forum to talk about emulation station and now you says that I need to go to some other place to request for help, I am disappointed I thought that retropie community was more kind and willing to help... At keast I read some others posts and I see several kind people helping each other, even with troubles that looks like so easy to fix, and other very troublesome, what it needs to be different with me? If I am not welcome here to request for help, you guys can at least direct me to other forum?

At least someone can say to me other frontend free that I can use in the place of EmulatioStation for windows 7 ? I searched a lot and I do not find any besides Launbox that is a paid software. The free version is useless, I wanted to use BigBox.

I exclusively use it since almost a year on RetroPie. If you still have trouble, with the scraper you use, then go back to Selph Scraper and try it again. On this page is some help: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Scraper/ and ETA Prime have some great tutorials:

@FabioManoel1977 You're not a RetroPie user - that's what I meant by using the wrong forum. It's not about language barriers or other reasons. As @buzz said, you're over dramatizing things.

For other front-ends, I know LaunchBox/BigBox is one of them and it seems has a lot of support and users. If you're looking for something free, try Attract Mode. I'm sorry, but I don't use Windows (for gaming) and can't recommend other options.

Yeah, sometimes the choose of wrong tool for your job can be frustrating. That's life. I hope you find your right tool, to me personally it is.

But is not the same code used in emulationstation is used on retropie ?Is really impossible to you to check the code that I used to see what is wrong ? I am so near... If I can figure out what I am doing wrong I will be happy, I can scrape the GAmes with ScreenScraper, I just need to figure out wht emulationstation refuse to load the gamelist.xml ? Pretty please, you are so smart, please check the code. I beg you. I do not want to use launchbox, 50 dollars is so much money for a frontend emulator...

@FabioManoel1977 I think what everyone on this thread is trying to say is that the forum does not support the windows Version of EmulationStation.

It's unfortunate but not something that you are going to solve. Adequate alternatives have been provided to you, but these come at a cost it seems.

If you do not wish to consider them, I would suggest perhaps buying a Pi and using Retropie. You will receive heaps of assistance going forward.

get launchbox if your using windows seriously no need to be using emulation station or retropie when using windows. The launchbox solution is far better than anything emulation station based can provide including retropie.

the bad thing is the fact that I want to use BixBox and BixBox on LaunchBox cost 50 dollars that is R$ 190,00 in Brazilian currency, to pay so much money on a frontend emulator is so much.

I gave up. I will keep using emulationstation even with those errors and I will stop to request for help in retropie forum.

The moderator can delete my posts and my threads I am moving from here and keep searching a place to me.

Launchbox is free unless u want to use premium features. The free without premium features is still better than emulation station
