Custom images for slideshow limitation? Some images show up as white squares...
-
Does anyone know if there are any image restrictions, limitations for the custom slideshow? I added a bunch of images, all JPGs but some of them show up as white squares.
-
I've also noticed that the slideshow has crashed on me a couple time... once with the default slideshow and another time with some custom images. Seems odd since it's such a simple function... any clues on that would be great.

White images in ES it's usually an indication of insufficient Video RAM for the theme you're using. What's your system set-up ? Please add more info, as requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

@mitu I see! makes sense.. i might've thrown some really large images there. sorry, i'm kind of a noob, but i will find my system specs and post them!! thank you!

@noobsaibot The RetroPie version will appear at the top of the screen when starting the RetroPie Setup script - the rest should be self explanatory.
-
@mitu Thank you! It says Version 4.4
At the moment, I'm trying to follow some directions to use the command line to type something that will show me the system specs... It's a bit confusing [https://www.maketecheasier.com/finding-raspberry-pi-system-information/](link url) - If you know of a simpler way to access system specs through Retropie's menus I'm all ears! -
@noobsaibot A Raspberry Pi has a standard hardware, it's not like a PC, so it's enough to specify the model of the Pi you're using (1, 2, 3b, 3b+, etc.).

@mitu is there a way to change RAM settings to support larger images?
-
@noobsaibot It depends, you still haven't provided any info about your system.
