      Hello,
I was recently trying to play a game "Peter peppers ice cream factory" I have the latest version of retropie on my raspberry pi 3b +. When I run the rom it attempts to start and goes back to the rom screen. After a quick Google search it brought me back here to "Mame weekly" where this was a featured game. In that thread it said i needed the bios. I think i tracked down the bios but kind of unsure what to do with it to get the game running. I attempted to put the bios files extracted and zipped in the bios folder of retropie as well but still the game won't run. I know I'm doing something wrong and from the docs I've read and videos nobody really talks about arcade bios files.

Anyways, thanks for any help you can give.

@Vega Please add more info about your system - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first. What emulator are you trying to use, what's the name of the BIOS file ?
MAME doesn't support un-zipped files, the BIOS should stay zipped.

@Vega that you need to locate a MAME bios makes me think would benefit from the instructions here: https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Arcade

in short, with the right full rom set for the right mame emulator, you should have no further dependences. all BIOS files will be part of the full set.
