XBox One S controller bluetooth connection issue
-
Hi,
I have an Xbox One S controller that I can easily pair with my Windows 10 on PC via bluetooth (without angle dongle). I wanted to do the same on the Raspberry Pi 4 and RetroPie but it does not work.
The issue seems to be caused by ERTM feature of bluetooth driver in Linux. It needs to be disabled so that this controller can work. Many people reported success by disabling it but that solution now also doesn't work. I have the same issue in Lakka btw.
My request from devs is, if ERTM is not required, can they auto disable it and test Xbox One S controller's bluetooth functionality if possible? I'm sitting 3 meters away from my TV and I don't have a 3 meters usb cable (not that i'd want such a cable hanging between me and my TV in the living room)
UPDATE: Forget the bluetooth connection, I cannot even make it work with my micro USB cable. Emulation station shows 1 Gamepad found and nothing happens when I press A. In fact nothing happens if i press any key on the gamepad. I restarted the pi 2 times, switched the USB ports, nothing changes.

@cagancelik88 Please add more info about your system, as requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.
Did you install any additional drivers (
xboxdrv
maybe) ? For the S models, you should install thexpadneo
driver from https://github.com/atar-axis/xpadneo, it should work better with the newer Xbox controller models.
