Dualshock 3 without dongle

Can I connect a Bluetooth Dualshock 3 (PS3 Controller) in RetroPie without a Dongle ? Using only on board bluetooth.

You can if you have a Pi 3. The pi3 has built in wifi and bluetooth

Thanks a lot @demesauce, I did it yesterday and worked fine .
Now I'm trying to config the joypad inputs, Can I do it using a config file or something like that ? -
Go into Retroarch, settings, input, click on player 1 binds, it will make your life easier.... Trial and error untill you get what you want...
