Issues with Joystick Zero Delay on retropie
-
Hi everyone, I'm making a bartop with retropie on a Raspberry Pi 3, I've got two sets of samwa clones buttons and joystick, each with its own basic zero delay board (joystick attached with an only plug with 5 pins), which is recognised as Dragon Rise Controllers by Retropie, it also recognizes the buttons with no problems, but regarding the joystick it only recognizes direction up, and does absolutely nothing with the other directions: left, right, down. This happens in both joysticks despite having tried with several images, updating everything, checking connections...
I've seen than this board have digital 1 and digital 2 interfaces (switching with the Mode plug), but this had also no effect. I've read something about the right direction of the joystick when mounting it, but I've tried to set it like if the up direction were in the others axis and also did nothing.
I've also tried unpluging one of the boards, one of the joystick and nothing. The microswitches seems to work all fine, and it is a brand new product, not second hand, and I don't have problems with low voltage on my Raspberry Pi and everything else works just fine.
Is there any software solution? Does it really matter the direction in which is the joystick attach to the bartop? Is it possible both boards or joysticks are faulty? What I am not seeing?
I would much appreciate any help on the matter, cheers!

@txaras
You can try reinstalling xpad driver from source.Manage Packages >> Manage Driver Packages >> Xpad Driver

@txaras hi, I have the exact same problem with only the up direction working on the sticks. Did you manage to find a solution yet?

@nivlat not yet

@txaras Just solved!!
I had the 5pin connector (the end attached to the stick) upside down.
