Really well done, I wish that Mesen was a lot lighter so we could run these enhancement packs on the Pi:

I realize success is unlikely as it barely runs World Class Track Meet as is (Power Pad!), but I want to give this a try on the pi. I have updated lr-mesen from source and have added the HD packs for Metroid and Zelda in matching folders with the roms (both .7z and .nes).

I have tried the following locations for the HD packs HdPacks directory with no avail:

          .\configs\all\retroarch
          .\configs\all\retroarch\system\
(^^These 2 are particularly annoying bc I can't Samba in on Windows' interface)
          \opt\retropie\emulators\retroarch\system\
          \opt\retropie\emulators\retroarch\
          \home\retropie\roms\nes\

Anyone smarter than me want to chime in?

@hooperre Requires standalone mesen from github, I don't think they have the updates needed in lr-mesen... and it doesn't run fast enough for even replaces everything properly with Metroid HD at the moment. Create a folder called HdPacks in your BIOS directory, create a subfolder that matches your ROM name, drop the files in there.

I tried it out on my Pi 4 (no overclock) in the standard RetroPie binary distribution of lr-mesen, and using HdPacks in the RetroPie/BIOS directory, it loaded the HD pack just fine. Unfortunately it's so slow it's virtually unplayable. A shame, because it looks amazing!

That's why I mentioned it in the original post - to keep people from wasting their time.

@zerojay Not really a waste to have it set up or have it worked out how to set it up as maybe it will be playable in the future! Again, thanks for pointing it out.
