Problem with Retropie & Wheel Trustmaster T80
-
Hello friends, I have the T80 steering wheel from the Trustmaster brand, connecting it to the rear foot, it is recognized from the beginning and when mapping the different buttons, there is no problem, they are all recognized perfectly, except for turning the steering wheel sideways and pressing the pedals, everything else works, however the most important of the steering wheel does not, I would need help to be able to configure it correctly, since I would like to use it in driving games, however if it does not let me use the most important parts I can not do use of it.
I would like if it is possible for someone to help me and also the people who write the documentation that includes a part for the flyers since the spinners are included but not the flyers so much and I imagine that I am not the first person who meets this problem that the steering wheel does not detect the turn or the pedals.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read it, I hope someone can give me light on this matter.
Greetings

This doesn't look like it's fully PC compatible:
The T80 RW is a PS3/PS4 compliant racing wheel. It was not manufactured for PC, nor does it have drivers for Windows platforms.
However, due to the T80's feature (the Gamepad Mode), you can also use it on PC, connected as a gamepad. This option, nonetheless, will give you a limited operation of the wheel. Furthermore, when pressing the pedals, both the corresponding axes and buttons 7 & 8 (as seen in the wheel's Control Panel -> Game Controllers Panel) will be activated at the same time. Therefore, there is a 50-50 chance that the game will take into account either the axes (= correct progressive acceleration/ brake) or the buttons (= incorrect ON/OFF acceleration/ brake) when the pedals are pressed. -

@saitoh00 OK, so this is a slightly different model, which is supported on a PC, but it looks like it needs additional drivers (which I assume are not available on Linux).
You can try and see if the pedals/wheel produce anything when tested withjstest
.jstest /dev/input/js0

I Can't See any with pedals or wheel, the others buttons changes to on when I press they.

If they're not detected, then it's not fully supported by Linux - they need additional driver support which is not provided by TM in Linux.

It's a pity it doesn't work, it was the ideal steering wheel for an outrun-based arcade, because of the Ferrari logo theme and the license :(
