best RetroPie video shader for PSP / PS1 ?
-
Hi all,
I have a I have a Pi 4 with 8GB of RAM, with official power supply & micro HDMI cable. Used the official Raspberry Pi Imager software to flash a micro SD card with latest version of Retropie.
Can anyone recommend the best video shader for PSP / PS1 ?
I have applied "sharp bilinear without scanlines" for PSP but some of the graphics still look a bit jagged.
Have not tried anything with PS1 yet, would only need minor adjustment anyway I am sure.
thanks !

@Red_Trev well, to what end? each shader has different intentions. if you want to make things look sharper, then you’re better off raising the internal resolution. eg for psx: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Playstation-1/#video-double-internal-resolution
if you want things to be softer (less obvious jaggies): https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Shaders-and-Smoothing/#video-smoothing
the two in combination may be what you’re after.
sharp bilinear shader by definition will not eliminate jaggies.

My favorite for all games is crt-pi, I love the look that the scanlines give. It looks good with everything from psx, to gba, to snes, to arcade.
